Elizaweta Veprinskaja (also spelled Elizaveta Veprinskaya) is a stage and costume designer. Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, she initially studied Art History and German Studies at Ruhr University Bochum after she shifted her focus to cabinetmaking, completing vocational training before moving into theatre.
From 2019 to 2022, she worked as an assistant set and costume designer at Schauspiel Dortmund, where she also realized her first independent designs, including Jean-Paul Sartre's Das Spiel ist aus (directed by Azeret Koua). Since 2022, Veprinskaja has been working as a freelance stage and costume designer. Her work has been presented at Schauspielhaus Dortmund, Theater Magdeburg, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, and Theaterhaus Jena, among others. The production Über Leben (directed by Ruven Bircks), for which she designed the set and costumes at Schauspielhaus Dortmund, was nominated for the Nachspielpreis at the 2023 Heidelberg Stückemarkt. Rhapsody (written and directed by Azeret Koua), for which she created the costumes and makeup at Theaterhaus Jena, was invited to the 2025 Radikal jungfestival.
Since 2023, Veprinskaja has been regularly collaborating with Kirill Serebrennikov and his theatre company KIRILL & FRIENDS. She contributed to the set and costume design of Der Schneesturm and designed the stage for Legende, both productions directed by Kirill Serebrennikov.
