An­na Sha­las­ho­va is a dra­maturg, the­at­re cri­tic and scho­lar, cas­ting di­rec­tor. In 2004, she gra­du­ated from the Rus­si­an Ins­ti­tute of The­at­re Arts (GI­TIS). In 2009, she de­fen­ded her dis­serta­ti­on on the the­at­ri­cal art of the 1960s and holds a PhD in Art His­to­ry (of­fi­ci­al­ly re­cog­ni­zed in Ger­ma­ny as an aca­demic deg­ree of Dr. phil). 

Sin­ce 2004, she has be­en col­la­bora­ting with Ki­rill Se­reb­renni­kov. From 2011 to 2014, she wor­ked as Ar­tistic Di­rec­tor's As­sistant for the pro­ject PLAT­FORM, and from 2012 to 2022, as Ar­tistic Di­rec­tor's As­sistant at the Go­gol Cen­ter the­at­re.

She has al­so col­la­bora­ted with a num­ber of le­ading the­at­res inc­lu­ding Mos­cow Sov­re­men­nik The­at­re, the Mos­cow Art The­at­re na­med af­ter A.P. Chek­hov, De­uts­ches The­ater Ber­lin and Tha­lia The­ater in Ham­burg.

An­na was the cas­ting di­rec­tor for the films Tcha­ikovs­ky’s Wi­fe, Li­monov: the Bal­lad, The Di­sap­pe­aran­ce of Jo­sef Men­ge­le and Après.
