Rockstroh

Falk Rockstroh was born in Schne­eberg in 1958 and grew up in the GDR. He stu­di­ed ac­ting in Le­ip­zig from 1979 to 1983. Pri­or to the re­uni­fica­ti­on of Ger­ma­ny, he held en­ga­gements at se­veral the­aters in the GDR, inc­lu­ding in Zwic­kau, Ne­ust­re­litz, and Hal­le. In 1997, Tho­mas Lang­hoff bro­ught him to the De­uts­ches The­ater in Ber­lin; ho­wever, as ear­ly as 1999, he mo­ved to the Scha­ubühne with Tho­mas Os­terme­ier. From 2009, he was en­ga­ged at the Burg­the­ater in Vi­en­na for 13 years, fol­lo­wed by se­veral se­asons at the Tha­lia The­ater in Ham­burg. It was the­re that he al­so col­la­bora­ted with Ki­rill Se­reb­renni­kov. Rockstroh works re­gular­ly in ra­dio and te­levi­si­on.
