Eka­teri­na (Kat­ja) Kos­ti­uko­va gra­du­ated from the Li­tera­ry Trans­la­ti­on De­part­ment of the Ma­xim Gor­ky Li­tera­ry Ins­ti­tute in Mos­cow.

In 2012, she jo­ined the new­ly fo­un­ded Go­gol Cen­ter un­der the ar­tistic di­rec­ti­on of Ki­rill Se­reb­renni­kov and re­ma­ined with the the­at­re un­til it ce­ased to exist in 2022. Du­ring tho­se years, she wor­ked as Di­rec­tor's As­sistant on pro­duc­ti­ons by Ki­rill Se­reb­renni­kov as well as nu­mero­us Rus­si­an and Euro­pe­an di­rec­tors at dif­fe­rent sta­ges of the­ir ca­re­ers.

Sin­ce 2020, she has be­en wor­king as Di­rec­tor's As­sistant on Ki­rill Se­reb­renni­kov's in­terna­ti­onal pro­duc­ti­ons in col­la­bora­ti­on with le­ading Euro­pe­an the­at­res and cul­tu­ral ins­ti­tuti­ons. Among the­se pro­duc­ti­ons are De­came­rone (De­uts­ches The­ater Ber­lin, 2020), Der Schwar­ze Mönch / The Black Monk (Tha­lia The­ater, Ham­burg and Fes­ti­val d'Avig­non, 2022), Ba­roc­co (Tha­lia The­ater Ham­burg, 2023), Le­gen­de (Ruhr­tri­en­na­le and Tha­lia The­ater Ham­burg, 2024), Der Schne­es­turm (Salz­bur­ger Fest­spi­ele and Düssel­dorfer Scha­us­pi­el­ha­us, 2025), and Ham­let/Fantômes (Théâtre du Châte­let, 2025).
