Ba­umelt

Sven Ba­umelt is an audio en­gi­ne­er and so­und de­sig­ner with over three de­cades of ex­pe­ri­en­ce span­ning the stu­dio, the sta­ge, and the the­ater. His work com­bi­nes mu­sical un­ders­tan­ding with tech­ni­cal pre­cisi­on co­vering eve­ryt­hing from so­und de­sign and re­cor­ding to mi­xing and the li­ve exe­cuti­on of comp­lex pro­duc­ti­ons.

Tra­ined in Ham­burg (HAW Me­dia Tech­no­logy, SAE Audio En­gi­ne­ering), he be­gan his ca­re­er in bro­ad­casting be­fore mo­ving in­to in­terna­ti­onal li­ve and the­ater pro­duc­ti­ons.

He has wor­ked on mu­sical and the­ater pro­duc­ti­ons such as Dis­ney’s *Tar­zan* and *The Phan­tom of the Ope­ra*, as well as with Ham­burg’s Tha­lia The­ater, col­la­bora­ting with di­rec­tors inc­lu­ding Ro­bert Wil­son, Ki­rill Se­reb­renni­kov, and Le­an­der Haußmann.

In both stu­dio and li­ve set­tings, he has wor­ked with ar­tists such as Simp­le Minds, Mark Fors­ter, Jo­han­nes Oer­ding, Glenn Hug­hes, and ot­her in­terna­ti­onal acts.

Sven cre­ates so­und that brid­ges func­ti­on and emo­ti­on — pre­cise, mu­sical, and nar­ra­tive-dri­ven.
