Ori­ginal­ly from the be­auti­ful sho­res of La­ke Su­peri­or in Du­luth, MN (USA), Ber­lin-ba­sed ac­tor and sin­ger Odin Lund Bi­ron gra­du­ated with ho­nors in 2009 from the Mos­cow Art The­ater (MXAT), one of on­ly two Ame­ricans and a hand­ful of fo­re­ig­ners to ha­ve ever gra­du­ated from the tra­diti­onal (Rus­si­an-lan­gu­age) ac­ting prog­ram.

With a Gol­den Le­af award in hand for his MXAT per­forman­ce of Ham­let, Odin im­me­di­ate­ly be­gan a fi­ve-year run pla­ying the be­loved in­tern Phil Ri­chards on Rus­sia's cult-clas­sic sit­com "In­terns".

In 2013, an unex­pected in­vi­tati­on from di­rec­tor Ki­rill Se­reb­renni­kov (The Stu­dent, Le­to, Pet­rov's Flu) led to 10 pro­lific years as a tro­upe ac­tor at Rus­sia's most re­now­ned avant-gar­de the­ater, Go­gol Cen­ter. Du­ring this ti­me, Odin pla­yed le­ad ro­les in ne­ar­ly fif­te­en pre­mi­ers, was no­mina­ted twi­ce for the Gol­den Mask for best ac­tor, and per­formed in mul­tiple in­terna­ti­onal fes­ti­vals, inc­lu­ding three re­siden­ci­es at Fes­ti­val d'Avig­non: De­ad So­uls 2016, Out­si­de 2019, The Black Monk 2022.

In 2022, Odin pre­mi­ered his first le­ad ro­le in a fe­atu­re film at the 75th Fes­ti­val de Can­nes in Se­reb­renni­kov's film Tcha­ikovs­ky's Wi­fe, whe­re he pla­yed the ti­tular ro­le of Py­otr Tcha­ikovs­ky. In 2024, Odin was fe­atu­red in Se­reb­renni­kov's film Li­monov: The Bal­lad in fi­ve dif­fe­rent ro­les along­si­de Ben Whi­shaw at the 77th Fes­ti­val de Can­nes.

From 2021-2025 Odin was a gu­est ar­tist at Ham­burg's Tha­lia The­ater whe­re he per­formed le­ad ro­les in The Black Monk, Ba­roc­co (so­lo­ist, co­un­terte­nor) and Le­gen­de: Pa­rad­ja­nov (Ruhr­tri­en­na­le 2024).

In Ju­ne of 2025 Odin ma­de his ope­ra de­but in the ico­nic ro­le of the Simp­le­ton in Se­reb­renni­kov’s sta­ging of Mo­dest Mus­sorg­sky’s mas­si­ve ope­ra Bo­ris Go­dunov at the Dutch Na­ti­ona­le Ope­ra in Ams­ter­dam.
