JIM QUEEN AND THE QUEST FOR CHLOROQUEER

Directors  Marco Nguyen & Nicolas Athané
France / Belgium, 2026
Animated Comedy
Duration: 85 min.
Language: French, with English subtitles

Jim is the ultimate star of Paris’s queer nightlife. His world begins to collapse when he contracts Heterosis, a mysterious virus that turns gay men into heterosexuals. Abandoned by friends and followers, he joins forces with the shy Lucien and sets off on a frantic journey across the city in search of a cure.

A bold and irreverent example of contemporary French adult animation, Jim Queen and the Quest for Chloroqueer transforms an outrageous premise into a sharp satire on identity, social norms, and contemporary culture. Filled with colorful characters, musical energy, and a sharp sense of irony, the film is both a celebration of queer community and an affectionate parody of it.

Premiering in the Midnight Screenings section of the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, Jim Queen became one of the festival’s most talked-about films.
